disco_ii_disco
Hi all, Have been using CubeCart v3 for the past week or so and my site is getting near to completion. I have one big problem left to sort however. The site header. Have a look at the following two pages: http://www.caravanaccessoryshop.co.uk and http://www.caravanaccessoryshop.co.uk/cart.php?act=cart I would appreciate any comments on which looks better or any other improvement ideas. Cheers, Chris

disco_ii_disco
I fully understand how to change the look of my CubeCart site but would just like some comments on which header looks best. I'd like to know what they look like on other sized monitors and browsers too. Cheers.
Robsta
I fully understand how to change the look of my CubeCart site but would just like some comments on which header looks best. I wouldn't say the stretchy graphic works very well. It degrades the quality quite a lot.
disco_ii_disco
What about if I made the header a lot wider in the first place. Can anyone recommend a maximum size for it. Cheers.
Guest overdrive
Hi disco, I agree, stretchy bitmaps just look jagged, it's a no-no really. Your other option of over-sizing is preferable, and a width of 1280 pixels is quite handy, people with 19" monitors (1280x1024) wouldn't see the ends, whilst anyone using larger resolutions wouldn't necessarily have their browsers full screen. Over 50% of the web world are apparently now running 1024x768 (15" TFT - 17" CRT native). Nice header graphic by the way It would be worth trying to lower the jpeg compression rate (or heighten it, if you know what I mean!) to make the letters sharper, your file is only 18kb and as it's your shop logo, and downloaded to the cache only once, you could get away with up to 30kb. Of course the smaller the better, but it would sharpen your shop front.
Guest aikdo
I would say a variant of the first one would be a more prefurable mesure IMHO...
