Hi guys,

I am currently facing the following issues.

1. MySQL database upload limit capped at 2mb & database size limit capped at 30mb.

2. After adding 115 products, my total sql database size is already about 600k.

To generate this product this is my code.

<p>The all new HSR-5995TG was designed specifically to meet the demanding needs of rising robotics applications. Incorporating the latest Titanium gear technology and unique case design, the HSR-5995TG servo has all the features you would expect from a robotics servo.</p>

<p>If your looking for the ultimate hobby robotics servo, you found it. Hitec is proud to announce the amazing HRS-5995TG Digital Robotic Servo created specifically for the hobby robotics market. Offering a staggering 30.0kg-cm of torque in a standard sized servo case, the HSR-5995TG uses a powerful coreless motor and Hitec's latest Titanium geartrain technology.</p>

<p>Designed to operate up to 7.4 volts, and featuring an exclusive "pivot" mount, the Hitec HRS-5995TG servo also rotates 180° compared to the traditional 75° that most R/C servos travel. To contain all this brute force, Hitec's servo engineers incorporated axial brass bearings into the upper case for the new hardened steel gear shafts.</p>

<p>Using Hitec's HFP-10 Servo Programmer, users of the HSR-5995TG servo is able to program end and center points, dead band width, speed and other functions.</p>

So my question is-

1. Is there a way to save all the specs of differnet products from the same catergory into a CSV file, upload the CSV file to the webserver and add some codes below the description to extract the specs, form up the table for the specs and insert the data into the table.

2. Use this method to expand this mod into a compare products mod.

Or if anyone has any idea on how to keep the MySQL database small and yet is able to retain the specs table, do let me know.

Thanks in advance...

To answer your first question first, creating such a module should be possible but this sounds like a pretty special custom mod so changing hosting plans might be cheaper :w00t: Second that specs table is in serious need of some CSS love. You can strip that down to:

See the difference ?

This assumes you use put a id or class statement into the table head. That way you get "hooks" you can use for your CSS styling to style the individual cells.

And I beleive if you set your very first row to 40% and 60% that will force all the other cells into the same size. If not at worst you have to add back the width statements.

This should at least chop a lot of your extra code and you can do so much more with tables when you style them with CSS.
