Guest CaseyC
About 95% of the hits on my store come from Google, Froogle, Google Base (or whatever). A small amount come from an MSN search function. There is absolutely no problem with the Google guys......the MSN, however, is a different story. I use a service that gives me statistical information on visitors to my store. One of the pieces of info is the "referring page". If the link came from a search engine, I can access the search results page to see what parameters the user entered to get my item to be included in the search results. If the search was from MSN, and I click on the link to the item in my store, I always get a product display page for a different item, not the one that was searched for. Does anyone have an explanation for this????
roban
That's MSN for you. You're seeing stats that were relevant at the time of the search. For a more comprehensive explanation of their algorithms you'll have to contact them.
