I admit I have a lot of images and I've optimised them as much as possible, but even when all the images are cached (therefore should be faster) each page takes a while to load. I've recently changd web hosts-can this have anything to do with it or not? I am not sure if the web host affects speed? roban Posted November 13, 2006 Share Posted November 13, 2006 Web hosts certainly can account for speed, especially shared hosting. There could be hundreds of other sites being served on the same box as yours and that will affect your speed. I know that mine was having a problem with CPanel and e-mail servers and when they resolved the issue the speeds went way up. For a true measurement of your servers speed do it over time.
