Guest
Hi Everyone Throughout my time with cubecart i've noticed that i've been doing backups straight from my cpanel under backups. I'm guessing that i'm only doing the Home Directory - "Download a home directory Backup" and Download a MySQL Database Backup "ccrt1 ccrt1gzkey vgb1 vgb1gzkey" Now i normally save these under my computer and thought that this was a complete full backup of my store. But then i realised that on top of all that it says "Full Backup Generate/Download a Full Backup Full backups can only be used for moving your account to another server or keeping a local copy of your account" Is this the actual full backup? so if something should go wrong i can upload again? If so i would like to save it to my computer and i'm not quite sure on the settings It says: Generate/Download a Full Backup Backup Destination: Home Directory or Email Address: [email protected] Remote Server (FTP/SCP only): [what should i put here?] Remote User (FTP/SCP only): [what should i put here?] Remote Password (FTP/SCP only): [what should i put here?] Port (FTP/SCP only) [what should i put here?] Remote Dir (FTP/SCP only) [what should i put here?] I have an SmartClient FTP 2.0 > but if i want to save my whole store i'm not sure what the settings would be for my ftp to download to my computer. Your help would be soooooo appreciated. If anyone currently is saving their whole store backup to their computer could you please tell me what the settings would be and which method you would use. Thanks Antz PS I'm guessing a full store backup also backsup all my products and all information maintained......
roban
All you will need is your store directory and your database. Your database can be exported to a SQL file from phpMyAdmin and your store files can be downloaded using your FTP client.
