Mix categories with brands

Hi

In my main menu I wish to show manufacturers with the sub categories being the type os clothing, e.g. G-Star with sub cats Jeans, TShirts, Tops.

But I also want the user to be able to select "Jeans" from somewhere else on the page (not in the main menu) and the site to then show all Jeans from all manufacturers.

Is there a mod available for this?

I have already updated my site and admin site with new code to add a manufacturer to each product.
