Guest pmc
Hi, I really like Cube Cart but I tried installing it a year ago and the same thing happened: I install through fantastico. I set up the store and then it vanishes or my admin log in no longer works. Also I cannot access it by pointing my links to it as a secure https: site. I uninstalled and want to reinstall. How do I reinstall using https: (secure). It seems that when I click on "yes" for SSL is when it vanishes. Should I not acitivate SSL? And how do I give it a secure https address. I would really appreciate any help you can give. Pat
jerseyjoe
Should I not acitivate SSL? Not unless you have an SSL Certificate. Most hosting companies offer one for an annual fee or you can get one directly from the supplier. Google "SSL" and you'll find many. But before you do that, consider if you need one. If you intend to use Payment Gateways such as PayPal - and many others in the list - the secure transaction pages are provided by them. Guest pmc
Thanks so much. I have a shared SSL through my web host but doesn't work out with Cube Cart. I will reinstall and use the Paypal gateway. Thanks for your reply.
