Guest pitrow
Hi All... please help.... I'm in the process of upgrading a working 3.x CC install to 4.x. So far everything has gone smoothly, but now I'm running into an error when I try to log into the Admin section for the first time. When I enter the admin user and password, instead of going to http://siteurl.com/shop/admin, it's redirecting to https://siteurl.com/admin.php?_g=login&...hop%2Fadmin.php which obviously produces a 404 error. I'm assuming that this has to do with the SSL setup (which was working fine before the upgrade), but I have no idea how I could fix this without being able to get into the admin section! Please help! Ausy
Download the config tool and turn off ssl, you should then be able to get into admin. https://support.cubecart.com/index.php?_m=d...cid=0&nav=
Guest pitrow
Thanks, I gave that a try, but according to the tool, ssl is off? At least that's what I think "$config['ssl'] = 0" is telling me, correct? Anything else I can try? This is all very frustrating and I'm not impressed with the lack of documentation cubecart offers. Ausy
Indeed 0 means off. Do you have a link to your store so we can try?
Guest pitrow
http://www.theactivent.com/shop <- which works fine (since the store is offline), but if you go to http://www.theactivent.com/shop/admin and try to log in, that's when the erroneous redirects start happening. BTW, thank you for your quick replies!
Guest pitrow
Well... I made it one step closer. By changing $config['rootRel_SSL'] from "../" to "../shop/" I no longer get the incorrect redirects, but it just takes me right back to the login page, and I'm SURE the login information is correct. Any ideas on what now?
Ausy
You could try removing everything from $config['rootRel_SSL'] and $config['storeURL_SSL'] if your not using ssl By the way in cubecart 4 the admin is accessed with admin.php on the end of the url not just admin, cant see it making a difference because you apear to be getting to the correct page but just so its correct. Guest pitrow
You could try removing everything from $config['rootRel_SSL'] and $config['storeURL_SSL'] if your not using ssl Well, I just tried that and now I'm back to getting the redirect errors. Ausy
In that case return the setting to /shop/ and https://www.theactivent.com/shop Maybe a htaccess file, have you anything there from your old install? Im lost for ideas after that, someone else may have the answer.
Guest pitrow
I've checked for a .htaccess file and there isn't one. I'm also at a loss as to why this is redirecting to https when by all indications it shouldn't be. It's very strange. Thanks for your help! Maybe someone else will have an idea?
