Cannot add to Basket - Session ID is different in Basket pages

Hi,

I'm running a CubeCart 3.12 store. I *cannot* upgrade to any other version - that isn't an option.

What i'm finding is that occasionally, a user cannot add things to their basket - they click "Add", and the basket is shown as empty. Having tracked it down, this happens because the ccUser ID is different on the main pages of the site to the Basket pages.

Has anyone managed to resolve this on their store? As i say, I cannot upgrade to a newer version as parts of the store are heavily modified (but not the session handling functionality).
