Guest J.D
Hi All We have had some unexpected changes since upgrading from CubeCart version 4.1.1 to 4.3. When we were running CubeCart version 4.1.1 the products were listed in alphabetical order in their individual categories, it did not matter where the item was listed in the database. Since we have upgraded to version 4.3 the products now show up in the order that they have been added to the database as shown on the "Product Inventory" pages. The alphabetical listing suited us as we could name our products to group them, now it is all over the place. How do we get the listings back in alphabetical order??? Any feedback much appreciated. Cheers J.D
Robsta
Had you altered the core files to make the products list in alphabetical order? If so, you will need to redo the update.
Guest J.D
Had you altered the core files to make the products list in alphabetical order? If so, you will need to redo the update. Hi Robsta I have been in touch with our Web-Mistress and she has not altered the core files. All that we did initially was to install CubeCart 4.1.1 and then started listing products into the Product Inventory database in no planned order, the products ended up in alphabetical order in the Website categories themselves even though they were in a different order in the Product Inventory database, we assumed that this is how it worked. Alphabetical order was a real bonus as you can list new parts at any time and word the listing so that the new parts grouped with similar items. Now with the upgrade to 4.3 the products now display in the order that they have been entered into the Product Inventory database and are all over the place. Thanks Again J.D
Robsta
Hi, it may have changed in the last release then. You can edit the core file viewCat.inc.php to force it to list in a particular order in the SQL statement.
