Permissions Problem

Hi there

I have been getting this error

You don't have permission to access /store/admin.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

This occurs when trying to edit a category description through the editor.

I have tried making the admin.php file 777 but still wont work.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi. admin.php should not be set to 777 so I would change it back to 644. Is the permissions for the folder /store/ set correctly, this should be 755. You may have an htaccess file in the directory that is stopping access and needs changing. Have you had a word with your host to see if there is some sort of restriction on the server?

Hi there and thank you for your reply..

I have reset the permissions to the ones you have said and checked the htaccess file (it's empty). the same error is comming up still.. I can type in the following

Premier Toys and Hobbies stock quality diecast models in a wide range of scales, brands and types.

Select a preference t0 1234 56789 10 11 12 13 14 15

and it all works fine.

but tyope in the following and the error comes up.

Premier Toys and Hobbies stock quality diecast models in a wide range of scales, brands and types.

Select a preference to view the diecast model range

Just tried again and it all seemd to be working now.... thank you
