Categories and products listing dynamically

Dear Community Forum

I'm working with Cubecart 5 and have it setup and installed fine, and i've customised the homepage of my skin. I was looking for some general direction with how to achieve the following goal.

I want to display a list of categories and there associated products with the use of jquery slide panels as shown at this website address of mine... Implementing the jquery isn't the problem

Rather then hardcode anything I want it all to be dynamic and run from the database.
