custom skin

Hello,

I am setting a new cubecart site on my server for a client. Her previous cubecart site is with another registrar. I have completed the install with the same version as her existing. Instead of creating a new site or using a default skin, she wants me to use her custom skin that I have tweaked to her liking. I dowloaded the skin from her registrar and added to the skins in the cubecart I set up on my server.

While the skin does work, it does have some issues. The home page is different but yet the category pages are identical to the existing site. Is there a third party software that I need to install as well to ensure it works properly? I notice while in my file manager, It will not let me edit any of the .tpl files. All the .css files under stylesheets I can. Also, I ran a test and set up a new product. Once done, it set up properly except the image is not visible. When I changed the skin in my admin to a cubecart default, it is. That makes me think I'm missing something that is not letting the custom skin work properly.

Please advise

Corey

A URL to the site is essential here, otherwise we have no idea what is wrong with the skin.

You are right. I apologize. The new site i'm setting up is in a sub-directory for now. Once the site matches the existing, I will change the name servers. The address are below.

existing site: http://www.snootypeacock.com/store/

new site: http://4bwebdesign.com/www.snootypeacock.com/store/

Thanks,

Corey
