  1. All

This is something that I have acheived in CC4, but can't get my head around in CC5.

Client wishes to have the standard packing slip available to print and put in with the goods. However they also wish to have the facility (another button) to print another version of the packing slip - but with a Royal Mail PPI Postage Logo on.

Any ideas on how I can acheive this in CC5?

  2. Thanks Dirty Butter for your help. I have gone back to 5.1.1 and whilst this has seemingly corrected some of the errors such as the SSL and the empty basket - I still can't get google checkout working.

I can create a transaction and make a payment through google. However, the transaction appears in CC admin as a ghost customer and none of the customer info comes through. In addition the API Callback isn't working so the status is never updated - finally google are sending emails about this.

    Any ideas?

  3. Hi Brian - this is a different job to the upgrade that you spoke to me about this other day. I have taken your advice and put that on hold for two weeks. It's this one that is causing the problem!

5.1.1 may have been better for quick setup than 5.1.4. Is there a way to access a download of it? If not, I have it, but don't know how to share it.

    Here it is:

Thanks for that. Would you recommend doing back to 5.1.1 then? Assuming I did this I guess I could easily upgrade once the more stable version is released?

  4. Am working on a site for a client that is a rush job. They wanted / insisted that we use CC5. www.gtectrading.co.uk

All installed fine - have customised an exisiting skin somewhat to suit the client. The problems have started coming to light now.

    • Google Checkout - All integrated OK - However API Callback won't work.
    • SSL - When you click login you get a page cannot be displayed error
    • Basket - Occassionally when you click checkout or google checkout you get a basket empty message when it isn't empty
    • Postage options are not working correctly and I am reasonbly sure that they are configured correctly.

It just seems so buggy. When I have debug enabled many pages are showing errors of various types

Any ideas. Are all these problems related? By the way it is running 5.1.3

    Regards

    Pedro

  5. HI Everyone!!

I am working on an upgrade for a client. Currently running 4.3.7 and wanting to go to V5. There are nearly 2000 products in the store.

The skin will be totally redesigned in the process. So in effect all I want to do is bring over the products, images and categories.

Am I better of using a fresh V5 installation with new DB and importing the products in? Or do you think I should try and upgrade?

I read somewhere that the V4 and V5 databases don't work well after an uprgade.

    Your advice would be appreciated.

    Ta!

    Pedro!

  6. A strange one this. The front end search is not bringing back all products in the inventory that have the keyword in the title. It only brings back 4 results when realistically there are 10+

If however you go to the back end and view products and filter by the same keyword it works correctly and you get all of the products.

    Any ideas?

  7. If a customer places an order in a different currency then the correct amounts are shown on all of the screens up to payment no problem at all. However if the customer logs back in to view order history the orders are not shown in the currency in which they ordered but the default store currency.

Not ideal. Is confusing for our customers. Is this a bug or how it is supposed to be?

If there a way to Modify it?

  8. Our customer wants us to add a new country under spain called spain canary islands. This will then fall into a different shipping zone.

I've added the country no problem. However it always appears at the bottom of the list of countries on the registration form. We need it to appear just below spain. I know this should be easy but it is making my head hurt!!

    Any ideas?!?!

  9. Hi,

I am getting myself confused with HSBC CPI

I have a client who wants to use HSBC as there payment gateway, my problem is i have never used HSBC before in any way and until today had not been never been on there epayments website.

After looking at there site i found this:

    1. Card Payment Interface (CPI) – where orders are taken on your website, but your customer will enter their card payments details on our website.

The CPI to me seems to be the best option as i don't want to have to worry about being PCI DSS compliant. However i cant seem to find a CPI gateway so im guessing there is a reason for this?

    2. Application Programmable Interface (API) – where orders and card payments details are completed on your website.

From what i can see there seems to be a few people using this option however are they all compliant with PCI DSS, if so are they all on dedicated servers as i understand shared hosting would fail PCI DSS checks.

I am looking for the cheapest way to integrate HSBC in to CC3, i think my client went with HSBC over others because of there transaction fees however if this now means using API and a dedicated server because of this that may have been the wrong choice.

If some one has any info on this i don't mind looking at making a CPI integration module however as i said the fact there is not one must mean something...?

    Thanks Matthew

    Matthew

Did you get anywhere with this? Seems to be a dead end? If you made a CPI module I would be interested in buying it!!

  10. Hello Rodd,

    I have a client who has just asked exactly the same question. Whilst I am looking into it, if you like to get your hands dirty in code you may find the following post useful;

    Thanks,

    Matt

Did either of you guys resolve this. I too have a UK UPS customer wishing to use this!!
