I have a CC4 shop running selling digital files above 1 GB. I do this via Linklok and Amazon S3. Works pretty fine.

Do you manually approve an order and then send the download link via Linklok? I don't know how Linklok can support instant delivery of the download link once the order is put through CubeCart (instead of Linklok). Thanks!

There's a Version of Linklok for CC4. You generate an encrypted link with linklok once you create a product. Instant delivery worked fine for me with paypal. An email is sent with the downloadlink.

You had better stop using this version of Linklok for CC4 if you don't want somebody who ordered your products to put them onto those file-sharing sites. If you visit the Linklok site again, you will find this particular version of Linklok is no longer existed. PM me if you'd like to know how it is flawed. :-)

I use the following syntax

RewriteRule (.*) http://www.mywebsite.com/$1 [R=301,L]

in the .htaccess file, this works fine for me, hopefully it'll work for you too?

I have been using CCv3 with rukimans? SEO mod with great success for a long time, I am now ready to upgrade to CCv4 but I have run into a couple of problems on the way with the new inbuilt SEO functionality.

The problem is that special characters are treated in another way so the SEO url's from CCv3 do not match the new ones from CCv4.

So, I thought that I could just manually 301 redirect all the old URL's to the new url's with the .htaccess file

I set the redirect up like this:

redirect 301 /shop/oldcat/oldprod/prod_1.htm http://www.mywebshop.com/shop/mynewcat/mynewprod/prod_1.htm

The problem is that this does not work as intended, it redirects the link but it is beeing redirected to

http://www.mywebshop.com/shop/mynewcat/mynewprod/prod_1.htm?_a=viewProd&productId=1

Does anyone know how I can setup the 301 redirection so that it does not add the "?_a=viewProd&productId=11" part at the end of the URL with the SEO on?

The disable product' option in CC4 successfully hides the product from appearing in the store, but even if you have the url to that product, you CANNOT view it.

I would like to be able to hide products from appearing in the store - but if someone has the direct URL, they CAN STILL view it.

Anyone know how to do this? Or if there is an available mod for CC4 that they can direct me to?

No, don't disable the product or the URL won't work for sure. What you can do is to add a new Category and hide it, then put the product you want to hide under this invisible category. Hope this helps.

[Product Not Found Pages]

Hi,

Google has indexed some products in our store that no longer exist, because CubeCart doesn't return a 404 when a product isn't found the products won't drop out of googles index.

What I want to do is use a Server Error 410 (Gone) to tell google the page no longer exists (but used to) so google can stop indexing it, using a custom error page to fit with the skin i'm using and maybe containing a search box or similar.

I'm guessing this is probably a common problem - I can't be the only one with this issue?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Over the past two days, we have had serious problems with our digital download links. The links are delivered to the customer and when they download, anything larger than 10MB, downloads as a very small file and is corrupted. As we sell only digital products, this is causing MAJOR problems for us. Does anyone else have the same problem and know the solution?

Our files are zip files and we've never had a problem before two days ago.

Update: if we change our links to http links rather than root - they work, but this is not ideal....

My digital-download store is running CC4.2.1 for over 1 year without much problem. Since yesterday, it suddently stop sending my customers the emails titled "Order Complete #xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx" and "Downloads Access: xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx" after an order is "Complete & Dispatched" paid via PayPal. Of course I don't receive the "Order Complete" email either.

[Admin session patch causes SQL break]

We have made a new file for CubeCart < 4.3.0 to get over any "salt" problems. If you have updated the file and have problems logging in please update the file from the announcement and then use the password reset tool to regain access.

We are still using CC4.2.1 and have experienced exactly the same problem after only uploading the new cc_admin_session.php file over the existing one. We have then reverted the change to make the admin side work again.
