  1. At risk of sounding like a complete idiot....how did you edit the email templates. For some reason I cannot edit them, and I am not sure what I am doing wrong...

    There are three tabs EMAIL CONTENTS / EMAIL TEMPLATEs / IMPORT

    When I try to edit them by choosing a individual one from 'email contents' list and going into the 'html' tab it will not save anything I edit there for any of them.

    When I go into the 'email template' tab and choose 'default emails' there is only one template but one that I CAN edit.

    Any help much appreciated....

  2. I edited the existing emails. Perhaps that would be easier, as the trigger for sending at the appropriate times will already work. If that won't work for your needs, hopefully someone will be along who can help you soon.

    I tried that first, but each time I saved one it would revert back to what it had been originally, I tried it several times and for different templates...frustrating!

  3. Hi Everyone,

    I am totally confused as to how the email templates are meant to work.

    I have disabled the default emails templates and made 3 of my own for confirmation of payment, order shipped and order received.

    When I try to enable them only the first one I created - 'confirmation of payment' remains enabled and the other two remain disabled no matter what I do.

    My next question is where to I configure where and when these emails are sent? I would like them to go out automatically (though the order shipped email cannot be an auto email, I would need to manually send this)

    And finally can I test them somehow to see how they come out?

  4. There is a very, very common mistake made. You're not the first and most assuredly won't be the last.

    There is a difference in uploading the folder 'CubeCart' into 'shop' versus uploading the contents of the folder Cubecart into 'shop'.

    So, please delete the folder 'Cubecart_5.1.2.2' from your site. Then on your computer, from within the Cubecart_5.1.2.2 folder, transfer all its contents to 'shop'.

    I have got it! but not before I made another mistake! (not a good night)

    I first uploaded everything into 'html_ftp' by mistake!!! arghhh! as I have no idea what was in this folder before I have no idea what i have changed and if i can just delete all the cubecart files out of html_ftp or if I need to restore anything?

  5. The new files have uploaded into my 'shop' folder (the name of my old cubecart directory) with the old includes, images and language folders underneath the 'new' 'cubecart-' folder.

    The includes/ini.inc.php and includes/global.inc.php are in the old folders where I left them and are missing in the new 'cubecart-' folder.

    Does this mean the old files were not overwritten and this is causing the problem ?

    I am still running cubecart version 3, planning on a upgrade in the next month. Thought someone may be able to help me out on this...

    I just logged into my admin and this is what i am seeing....basically my customers have to scroll down past all this now to even see my store.....arghhhhhhh!

    Hi Irori,

    I can only suggest you have the latest version of CubeCart3. This has been stable for a long time, and I'm sure many others have used PayPal Express. If you have a modified store, then perhaps create a test install to see if the latest version fixes the problem.

    Depending on the outcome, it may be possible to use the latest PayPal Extpress Module with an older version.

    Which version are you currently using?

    I am using cubecart 3.0.17

    I am not sure how to create a test install - and I also do not know how to put in the latest PayPal Express Module - But it all sounds like a good alternative to it not working at all, I just need to be hand fed instructions as I am not a pro :)

    I am receiving this error code when choosing PayPal Express Checkout as the payment option from my cart

    Fatal error: Call to undefined method SOAP_Fault::getAck() in /home/peaceful/public_html/shop/modules/gateway/ExpressCheckout/transfer.inc.php on line 104

    On line 104 in my transfer.inc.php is the following

    $ack = $response->getAck();

    Obviously this is missing something or incorrect in order for the paypal express checkout to work but I do not know what it should be...

    If anyone could help that would be fantastic!

  9. Once a transaction completes, the customer cannot go back and modify the same order (add more items to the same order), so that is working as it should be, so I suspect that is not your problem?

    Still not understanding where the issue comes in - are they having problems on your site adding items to their cart or when they try to pay and having problems with Paypal? Changing the status of an order in your cart has nothing to do with it.

    If they cannot complete a new, different order, my first guess would be due to cookies - if they cleared their cache it should work. Paypal especially gets sessions mixed up which is what I am thinking is happening so if they log out of paypal, clear their cache, close and reopen their browser, and then do a new order, it shouldn't be an issue.

    I know paypal gives me issues when I'm logged into my paypal account and pay for something via paypal on a vendor's site, I get security and session issues and have to restart my browser until it lets me log in again. I think it has to do with the way Paypal handles cookies and unfortunately, there is nothing I know of to do about it.

    for clarification my two customers told me they are having trouble ordering anything at all once they have already made an order and paid for it via paypal. When they went back to purchase an additional item they said 'it wouldn't let me' and that they tried multiple times. I ended up sending them an invoice through PayPal. If it happens again I willl try and get more information. I think you may be right about Cookies and PayPal as it has only happened with two customers.


  10. What exactly are they having problems with? Logging in again?

    Order status doesn't matter and I have customers place multiple orders.

    When a customer buys one or more items and pays via PayPal (the only gateway I offer) then decides to go back and order something else to be shipped with what they just bought it will not allow them to add anything or buy anything. I have asked them to log out and try but then as they have to log back in to make the order it doesn't work, I thought it may be something to do with cubecart labeling the order 'pending' and perhaps when i mark it 'completed' it may let them make new purchases? I have not tried it though. I thought maybe others may have experienced this problem?

    I hope this made more sense than my first question :)
