I have an existing website that is using the paypal shopping cart which I want to upgrade to cubecart.
Can I install cubecart in a sub-folder to build the new cubecart site leaving the existing site usable as is and then point the site to cubecart once tested and ready?
Thank you in advance.

This problem is only happening when I try to edit a product. I can maneuver around cube cart, log in, do other tasks etc. Then I try to edit a product and the browser kind of sits there for a while and then the "This page can't be displayed" error message pops up. Once this happens, I can't use this browser to do this task ever again.
This has gradually happened on two computers, at first it was Fire Fox, then when that started having this issue, I moved to IE. It worked for awhile (days) but then IE started the same issue.
Second computer, both fire fox and IE worked so I figured it was something to do with computer1. Computer 1 is on it's last legs so it is believable.
Started using Fire Fox on computer 2, then all of a sudden I started getting the "this page can't be displayed" error message again.
Moved to IE. Worked fine. Than all of a sudden the same issue (same day).
Windows 7 professional on both computers Fire Fox and IE are both updated. I have rebooted the computers multiple times. I have disconnected the power. Nothing has helped.
I need to be able to edit some pictures. I only have one more computer! LOL
Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Ok,
I found an edit button and made the change. Held my breath, did a website dance that I didn't mess anything up. It worked! Thank you.

bsmither,
Extremely new user so forgive my ignorance.
I cannot find main.php anywhere within the cubcart program. I did find that I am on 6.0.9
CubeCart is provided by my web host.
So, I went into my Web Providers "file management" area and found "public html", "skins", "foundation" "templates" and found main.php.
First I am a bit nervous about making changes there, but second it doesn't allow me to.
Is this the correct area? Second do I need to use my FTP program and somehow change the file that way?
Windows 7 pro for what it is worth.
Thank you

I'd like to remove the featured product.
I found this older thread.
not sure if this is still applicable as they want a static featured product, but when I enter
[email protected] changed to my website, [email protected]
the iz from biz is removed.
I believe i am on the latest version of cubecart. Sorry, I couldn't find the version listed.
I am using the default skin.
But at the end of the day, what I want is to remove entirely the "featured product". Thank you.

Hello, newbie to cubecart.
I am having trouble pasting into any editor box. I can paste a module code into the appropriate code box, but in documents or products I cannot paste into the description or content boxes.
Any ideas?
Used both firefox and explorer. Windows 7 pro, latest version of cubecart. Is there a text editor that I need to turn on?
Thank you.
