    Hi All

     

    I am new to open source software can somebody explain to me why big change for cubecart

    does it mean in next few years know more cubecart.

     

    Does it mean the main people be hide cubecart are stopping doing coding for software

    as i did startwith cubecart 3  or is it all down to money funding it

     

    I hope cubecart didn't mind me asking questions

    Looks like paypal has had a makeover and new layout. My paypal account has changed

     

    Set up API permissions and credentials

    An API allows PayPal software to communicate with your online shop.

    • Grant API permissions to a third party.
    • Create your own API username and password.
    • Speak to your shopping cart provider or developer if you need guidance on API set-up

    It looks like i need to set up cubecart access again. Has anybody else update their payment info with paypal today

    Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

    If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

    Etailers get new shipping and tracking platform from Royal Mail

    Can you please look into this as this would be handy to add to Cubecart

     

     

    Royal Mail has launched a new parcel shipping and tracking application for its business account customers.

    Designed to enable etailers to improve integration between their IT systems and Royal Mail, the platform gives customers access to all of Royal Mail’s parcel services both for UK and international destinations. Customers will also be able to track the progress of their consignments, check the track status of an item and retrieve the tracking history of their shipment.

    The system also means new customers can connect their systems to Royal Mail much faster than previously.

    “Royal Mail is very pleased to introduce our new Shipping and Tracking API which will enable e-retailers to improve and speed up the integration between their own IT systems and Royal Mail,†said Nick Landon, managing director of Royal Mail Parcels.

    “The new API provides the potential for improved parcels management as well as enabling e-retailers to connect their systems to Royal Mail software much quicker than previously.â€

    Royal Mail said that the new API is part of its investment in new IT systems to make working with the firm and adding new services even easier.

    i have been sent by own of my supplies a XML Feed Set UP File

     

    With this info spec as below

     

    Each XML file consists of two tables: Categories and Products. 
    Notes about Categories: 
    <Id> For linking within the XML. 
    <Parent> Empty flags a main category. 
    None-empty flags a subcategory to the main category with the indicated <Id>. 
    <Placement> Recommended sorting order. 
     
    Notes about Products: 
    <CategoryNo> Refers to an <Id> in the Categories table. 
    <Price A> Standard recommended dealer cost price. 
    <Price C> Typical volume purchase dealer cost price. 
    <Hitplacement> Rank on the global sales statistic latest 12 weeks. 
    Units Weights in g and lengths in cm. 
     
    Notes about images and datasheets: 
    <ImgSmallUrl> Small thumbnail 75x56 pixels. 
    <ImgMediumUrl> Small product image 200x150 pixels. 
    <ImgLargeUrl> Hires product image 1024x768 or 2048x1536 pixels. 
    <ImgPackshotUrl> Hires retail pack image 1024x1024 pixels. 
    <Datasheet> PDF print ready quality, A4
     
    How do i input this info into my store set up . This is all new to me.

    How do ghost customers turn into Registered customers can place more than one order, and has access to an account history and downloads.

     

    Anyway of stopping ghost customers placing orders ???
