I 've just installed a brand new store from scratch (3.0.20) and I have the exact same problem:

did not know where to go, so i just wanted to say that the Read Me.txt file has no carriage returns (?)
it opens up in one straight line on the notepad.

When i try to modify any of my cart products i get this error:
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: thumbnail in /home/kitxeno/public_html/cube/admin/products/index.php on line 193
Also when i try to upload a new image i get this:
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: thumbnail in /home/kitxeno/public_html/cube/admin/filemanager/upload.php on line 120
also i realized that problem is with images & thumbail, because if i dont add any image to my product i can update it correctly.....
im runing CC 3.0.12 beeing upgrading since 3.0.5, never had problems with images.....
all my thumbnails are gone....... they were there before tried to modify my products

Whatever the problem is, it's in a fresh install of .12. I installed .11 and everything works perfectly right out of the box.

i was browsing and found more people with the same problem.
and yours is definately the same as mine.
and i agree. the problem is version .12.
i have 3 stores. one on .10 (perfect) and 2 other running .12
and i cannot edit a product. it is absurd!
a moderator has already confirmed the problem as serious:

I'm having the same problem here unfortunately. Its only recently come about - I didn't do anything with it, was all working fine then I came back to it today and it didn't work.

Seems like tomorrow is going to be all hassle because I need this site up for a client soon - so I will have to strip it of all my custom mods and everything else.
The mods (That I can remember) that are installed:
- Automatic currency update by Toucan Web designs
- No 'N/A' postage displayed until final cart cost.
- Removed "mailing list" (by me).
Thats all I can think of right now. Theres probably a couple more. Tried updating everything in /admin, but to no effect.
i am thinking of re-installing the store. it is not possible to work with NON editable products.

Just fixed it myself:
Had to change modules/gateway/Print_Order_Form/transfer.inc.php
On the bottom of the file change:
$GLOBALS['rootRel']."/modules/gateway/Print_Order_Form/orderForm.php";
Into:
$glob['storeURL']."/modules/gateway/Print_Order_Form/orderForm.php";
I have just tryed this and im still going around in circles.
Anybody has any idea ??
I had the same problem and also found a fix. I just removed the / from the beginning of the of the modules in fhe following folder modules/gateway/Print_Order_Form/orderForm.php.
Original Code:-
$formAction = $GLOBALS['rootRel']."/modules/gateway/Print_Order_Form/orderForm.php";
Change To:-
$formAction = $GLOBALS['rootRel']."modules/gateway/Print_Order_Form/orderForm.php";
It worked for me, maybe it will help other's

i finally realilzed something that may be obvious.
what happens is that the email sent to the store owner goes without any customer information.
it only shows the itens. i have this problem since my first install.
i even thought to suggest a more complete email to the store owner.
now i will have to check all the variables to find out which one is missing empty/invalid.
lets see.

I just upgraded to 3.0.13 (pre-release) which shows as 3.0.12, and I'm getting the same problem.
I can't submit a new product as the error pops up, and neither can I edit an existing product.
I'm going to open a support ticket to let Al know about this one. Seems there's a few of us here with the same issue.
In the mean time, I was able to resolve a few "broken" products by using the Fix Thumbs MOD over in the freebies section of CubeCart.org
Okay, the advice I was given is this:
Download and use CC Version 3.0.12.
So, although I had already downloaded it, I downloaded it again, uploaded all the files except the Skins folder, my global.inc.php file and language folder, and IT WORKS!
So that's my advice passed on. Re-download, and re-upload.
Make a backup first of your store files and database before performing any installation or upgrade work.

Perhaps these members have something in common. If all is fine in 3.0.10 but fails in 3.0.12 is there a common thread like a mod installed that causes the problem.
I have group discount from goober and company details by semperfi.
And one detail:
I already had a picture AND a thumbnail. when I changed the stock and hit the edit button then I got the error and the thumbnail disapeared.

I have seen this error too.
The problem may be that you changed the language file for the admin_email_body_1 message and now the number of %s does not have the same number as the number of parameters in the sprintf.
When I saw it the person added a % as text, but if you want that you should use %%.

I get the same error. Exact same error message, and it will not let me update my products anymore.
Works fine on 3.0.10, but does not on 3.0.12.
Anyone knows about this?

Dear friends,
I believe my store was hacked. I found this piece of code on my jslibrary.js

I restored the original file and Avast is calm now.
Anything I should do? Does it help to change permissions to 7777? And it it ok to to that?
