  1. Unless there are some very detailed instructions on how to install ioncube & zend for all/most configurations I think lots of people may sadly consider going elsewhere :) .

For a complete beginner it seems to be a minefield, I have had lots of people pm'ing me over at CCF.org on how to get V4 working and I believe already some are moving away from CC because of it.

  2. You should keep going, youve got off to a good start, there are some layout issues but you obviously have an eye for design.

If this is your first website then believe me a week is no time at all.

    Some issues are:

Featured product image goes over title.

Layout needs reduced width as its not a good idea to scroll left/right to see the page(my opinion).

A bit of space under your box titles.

Nothing too major to rectify, keep going with the store, not much more to do now my friend. ;)

  3. Very nice,

You got a small prob with the table on this page , just above 'moving wording'. The side of the table box is missing + maybe a back button on this page as once your on it you need to use your browser back button to go back to the store.

Otherwise a very nice site, well done.

  4. Mysty,

Why not install windows VPC + IE6, I just did this a couple of days ago and it saves a lot of headaches.

One thing I would say is you need a lot of memory and a fast processor to get the real benefit as it uses a lot of rescources, but worth it if your using Vista and skinning.

I got it so I can design while away from my desktop and only have my laptop with Vista and it works well as you can see all browsers over main and virtual o/s's which I think is far more convenient than dual boot.

    just a thought :homestar:

  5. Not sure what youve been doing here ???

    You need to open yourskin/ stylesheets/ layout.css,

Find: boxTitleleft. , boxTitleRight; and add the url to the title image you are trying to use (or rename your image to the one already used for the current background).

Then adjust the height and width within this class + I always add background-repeat: none; within the class.

That should sort out the box tops.

But while your in the layout.css you should adjust the bocContent class width aswell (just play about until the middle column is wide enough.

The latest prods are done within admin.

Open your product and make sure you have clicked yes for ''Include in latest products in homepage?.'

In your admin general settings page click yes for 'Show Latest Products on homepage?' and set the amount of products to be shown with 'Number of latest products to show:'

If I understood youcorrectly that should solve the problem
