This pops up blank every x mins as well

Ok I have done more testing. This pops up a blank notification everytime Firefox loads when there is nothing to worry about. This should only pop up if there is something to worry about. Does it pop up blank every x mins as well? I was not alerted of a stock warning.

It would recognise there was an update but there would be a download error. Might be ok in this version but until you release a new one I wont know.

Ok BETA 3 fixed the check box. Looks good now. Also cheers for adding the go to admin. The update in Firefox is still broke however.

Can you add a Go to admin... option for the next beta please.

This is using the latest version of Firefox on Windows XP SP2.

I did a fresh install. The enable status bar notification is half cut off so its hard to see.

funnily enough, the code is in there, but it started to drive me mad. i'll create a new option in the setting, and enable the code Good work. I will test it if you wish. Have you found a security auditor by the way?

A very good start I would say. But is there anyway that a little window could pop up like in messenger or something as you would have to keep rolling your mouse over it to know something new has happened. Obviously the picture changes but if your selling every min you wouldnt know it updated. Also is there anyway to log straight into the admin or is this to do with security?

Bizarre. I get an xpi file when clicked with Firefox.

For future reference the best way to do this is use Firefox to click the link. The guys have obviously created a PHP script which detects what browser you are using. If you download in IE it downloads a zip with the correct files. Firefox will download the xpi. You can then just select in Firefox to open the file in Firefox and hey presto.

Oh its fine for me. I love Firefox. But forcing a customer to use something they are not used to is hard work . Any future plans for this extension (for when I finally get round to finding something to sell).

I am looking forward to carrying on the testing as I have been very busy recently. When will this be released? I think once this is released I will do more thorough testing, upgrading etc as most of the deadly bugs should be gone. Keep up the good work you two.

Yeah I think BETA 2 release will do us all wonders. No more repeat bugs being posted (which I am mostly to blame for ). We can also get down to some serious testing with some of the bugs that have been fixed.

I am just stating the changelog for BETA 2. Its looking good. Calm down people :)

I dont think this is an upload error. I tried binary and ascii but no joy. Most ftp programs with auto detect upload PHP files in ASCII. Maybe something should be put in the readme.txt in the distribution file.
