login problems

i have signup up as a customer, but when i go to log in, it takes at least 30-50 secs and then it goes to a blank screen.

Later, i refresh the homepage, then it says I am loged in.

it does the same thing if i log in at the shopping cart screen as well

Any help with this.......this will be a real problwm when the site goes live.

I just finsihed work on my shop front and ready to go live any moment. But I am also facing a similar problem. Except The page gets stuck and does not login. Even refresh dosent give me an response. Would like some urgent solution

I think i have a fix for you, I have been talking to support and they gave me 2 files to replace.

I have attached them.

replace:

1. includes/content/login.inc.php

2. includes/content/reg.inc.php

please backup your copy of these files before replacing them.

Let me know how they worked...they worked fine for me.

Provided that you have not made any modifications to the above refrenced files, simply replacing them should correc the issue regarding the login problem. I did somthing similar to this afternoon and it has seemed to correct the issues and not problem with any thing else so far.. :mellow:

Thanks ned I did so but it didnt seem to work. Actually let me elaborate a little more. After some time of trying to login still I get an error saying execution time exceeded more than 30 seconds could you find out where I could modify that setting maybe that would help. But after I get that error when I refresh or got to the main page of the cart it shows myself logged in.
