Guest dealdream Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 My store offers free shipping via US Mail, and UPS shipping at an extra cost. I'd like to be able to add a description to my free shipping option (i.e., label it "US Mail") to differentiate it from my UPS shipping options so that customers know exactly what my free shipping option consists of when they're selecting their shipping option at checkout. However, there doesn't seem to be any way to add a label/description to free shipping in CubeCart's admin control panel. Is there any other way I can do this? If not, I highly recommend that the ability to add a descriptive label to free shipping be added to CubeCart. (And by the way, it would be great to have Fedex and US Mail integrated into CubeCart's shipping configuration the way UPS is integrated. I could offer my customers Fedex shipping and international shipping via US Mail if CubeCart supported them, but it doesn't.) Quote
Guest estelle Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Easy done. If you want to modify the description shown in the drop down list during checkout (ie. Shipping: Free ($0.00))... In: modules/shipping/Free_Shipping/calc.php Look for: $shippingPrice .= ">Free (".priceFormat("0.00").")</option>\r\n"; If you want to modify the Free Shipping text shown in the Postal Order Form, View Orders, and probably the invoice email as well... In: modules/shipping/Free_Shipping/calc.php Look for: $basket = $cart->setVar("Free Shipping","shipMethod"); (Perhaps not quite as nice as having it configurable somewhere in admin, but personally i love that the admin options are clean and simple!)
