sub-catagories

I was just wondering if there was any way to keep persistance of the sub categories, throughout the viewCat and viewProd.tpl's. Obviously you only get the list of sub categories, once you click on a product catagory. But then when you click on a sub catagory is there anyway to keep this on the next page, and the product detail page ?

I want all my product pages to have the sub categories for the current catagory displayed.

Is that possible ?

Cheers Tim

cheers for the reply, but unfortunately no its not really what i mean.

Im doing a store for a furniture company, and im about to restyle the subcategories in the css so they float right, below my main menu.

I'll show the site, but bare in mind, its very early doors as ive only spent a few hours starting to style it. They also dont want the shopping cart functionality on at the moment but will require it adding later. (also the copyright is hidden, but i will pay for a liscense if i can get everything working)

the main product menu is on the right. When you click on desking, ive added 3 test products. I am going to style these so that they float right below the product menu, and look the same.

This is the ticky part though, when i click on the product sub category, i want to keep that whole

<div id="subCats">

<div class="subCat">

</div>

</div>

bit onto the next page.

So it looks somthing like: http://www.bluespotfurniture.com/products.htm

So that whole subcategory menu (currently the box will remain on the right below the main product menu. e.g ( http://lcp4.hotchilli.net/~blues14682/stor...viewCat&catId=2 )and the product detail page e.g ( http://lcp4.hotchilli.net/~blues14682/stor...rod&productId=5 )

If im still with you :cry:

Is that possibe ? before i carry on down this route ?

Cheers Tim

I would imagin that it is possiable, but it is over my head as I am new to PHP and CC, but there are some great MOD'ers on this site and I am sure that one of them would be able to assist you in making the changes.....
