Per Item Shipping open_basedir error (Please Help)

Shopping cart is installed properly. Everything seems to be in order. There is no problem adding products and following through with checkout.

However, on step 4 of the checkout process, when the shipping is added to the total, this error appears on the top of the page:

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /home/httpd/vhosts/selectcollectibles.biz/httpdocs/store/modules/shipping/Per_Item/calc.php on line 31

File seems to be where it should. Everything seems to be configured correctly. Anyone have a similar problem, or have any advice as to what can be done to correct this annoyance?

I noticed another error message:

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /home/httpd/vhosts/selectcollectibles.biz/httpdocs/store/modules/gateway/PayPal/transfer.inc.php on line 88

This appears briefly on the top of the page in between redirecting to Pay Pal.

I have also noticed that although these errors occur, shipping seems to be added to the total and the customer is able to get to Pay Pal to process payment.

However, if you hit the back button and return to the page for step 4 where shipping is added, it shows the shipping amount within the drop down menu but it is not added to the total. The customer can then follow through and make payment on this total that does not include shipping costs.

The errors are an annoyance that I do need to correct for my client. If shipping can be bypassed by simply hitting the back button, this is a much greater problem.

Any thoughts or solutions are most welcomed and appreciated.
