For each item, i'm wanting to enable the user to be able to download a product specification pdf for more information (mesurements etc) when they are viewing a product. Possible ? Guest hartmurmur Posted September 19, 2005 Share Posted September 19, 2005 If you want to go the extra step and be able to manage it a bit (for example, reporting on that extra info - say, "show me all products that use spec pdf xx"), then you should add it to the database. An extra colum in the inventory table or an additional table (e.g. specifications) would work. It offers a bit more flexibility in the long run. You'd have to determine what is best for your needs.
