Anyone ever do a Retail/Wholesale CC?

I am speaking with a potential client who wants a normal Retail CC plus a Wholesale section that would be bascially the same products but with minimums and appropriate separate prices.

I'm confident it can be done but I can see a number of possible ways to do it. So if anyone has suggestions, I'm open to advice.

My first impulse is to create two different directories such as

www. website.com/store/ and www. website.com/wholesale/

with the wholesale version installed in a password protected directory.

Comments, suggestions, pitfalls, alternatives?

That is a way to do it but it also means double work for you since you have to do this in both carts.

Maybe if you could set up a quantity mode. Over 20 items a special price (Dealers Price).

I have fairly similar needs to jerseyjoe, and I looked over Goober's mod - it looks pretty good.

But it doesn't look like it handles order minimums. For example, I want a retail customer to buy a widget at $7.50. They can buy one, no problem. But if they're signed in they see a wholesale price of $5.00, but now they have to buy 3 minimum. So it's not a QUANTITY discount per se...

Think this is fairly easy to cook up?
