Guest vrakas
Hi there, i have a problem with FCK editor and wish to remove it completely. Can anyone help me out on this and/or knows how to remove it. Thanks in advance
Guest theorbo
I think there's somewhere in the original install settings that you tell it to not use an editor. I don't know if it's possible to disable it after install, though you could try just renaming the rte folder - perhaps if the program can't find the editor folder, it will just work without anything. Or perhaps not - might break the whole thing....
Guest vrakas
Hi theorbo, I never saw the option not to install the FCK on setup. I removed a line from it and the whole site went bananas Thanks for your reply. I will try almost anything to get rid of it
Guest theorbo
Well, this line: include("../includes/rte/fckeditor.php"); is in the basic includes section at the head of nearly every php file in the folders. So I'd guess it's not going to be real easy to get rid of....

Guest Denver Dave
I would like the editor to generally not be available and have a link or button that would present the editor in another window, hopefully that is resizeaable. Anyone doing this?
Guest vrakas
This turns on or off the FCK editor but only for the products. FCK Editor On/Off It does not do this in site documents Denver Dave - I like your idea of a pop-up windows of the FCK only when needed. */*
Guest Denver Dave
Here is a non SourceForge discussion forum for the editor. I'm hoping someone there might have some ideas: http://fck.kravchuk.biz/
