I have the folder set up (secure of course) hidden on the root of my server and sir williams email fix up and running on v3.0.5 wot i need is when a customer places order and pays via paypal(only option) when the site receives the verification from paypal it sends email to customer with direct download link. Guest
Sounds like exactly what my store does. I have ZERO changes to the stock release in respect to processing orders....because the download has my PayPal changes incorporated.
markscarts
Hi EH! I have a checklist about PayPal IPN you can use to be sure all the bases are covered. You won't need the patches it refers to, (all fixed in 3.0.5) but maybe it can help with the set-up. With PayPal Standard/IPN everything is automatic! http://cc3.biz/extras/IpnChecklist.pdf

Guest
So do i need a special paypal account to do this? I have a business account where i can take credit cards as well as from paypal accounts and its free? ;)
Guest
I know any Premier or Business Account can do this. I'm not sure about personal accounts, but I believe somebody said they would also. You just setup Instant Payment Notification, Auto Return and Payment Data Transfer. CubeCart will do the rest. ;)

Guest
Homer, your IPN address needs to be the one given to you by the PayPal module in your admin panel. The AutoReturn URL will be http://www.mysite.co.uk/[storedir/]confirmed.php. Set those and you should be fine. Best way to test is setup a product for a penny. Even if it's just a JPG to download, set one up. Then either test it yourself, or hit me up and I'll do it for ya. I have two PayPal accounts. ;)

Guest
For PayPal standard / IPN, just use the first PayPal gateway. The other two require PayPal Pro. This costs $20/month and is NOT free. And PayPal Direct requires (at least it SHOULD) SSL on your site to protect the transfer of Card info. Oh yeah, PayPal Pro is still only available to US shops. ;)
