Guest timecrisis
Hi All, When I install V3.0.6 the install goes great without any errors. I noticed tho when I FTP into the site and look at the files in the includes folder there are 2 files called: global.inc.php global.inc.php.bak I am guessing .BAK fies are some sort of temp file...The site works fine but is this normal? I noticed the same happens if I edit the homepage there is: home.inc.php and home.inc.php.bak Is this an issue and if so how do I fix it?! Thanks! markscarts
These are very important files to your site. global.inc.php contains the paths for store and db that make everything work properly, and home.inc.php contains your personalized text if you've made changes to your store's homepage. These files are automatically backed up, so that they may be easily restored if you goof one of them up :sourcerer:
Guest timecrisis
Hi mark, Thanks for the reply. So the .BAK files are normal and nothing to worry about? Cheers! :sourcerer:
markscarts
.BAK indicates a BACKUP file If you ever need to use them, you just rename by deleting the .BAK and you have the last backed-up version of the php file . . .
