Guest gunther3d
Hi there, I totally just locked myself out of my admin page while messing with my SSl settings and have no idea where to even start to get it back. Any help is much appreciated. I'm new at this and may need someone to hold my hand till it's working again :)
Guest gunther3d
Here are my last 4 lines $glob['installed'] = '1'; $glob['rootDir'] = '/home/yogiyou/public_html/shop'; $glob['rootRel'] = '/shop/'; $glob['storeURL'] = 'http://www.yogiyou.com/shop'; ?> No idea if they are even remotely correct! :)

Guest gunther3d
Thanks Vrakas.... but how do I know what to change my settings to?
Guest EverythingWeb
SSL settings are ALL handled in the Admin panel/database, not in global.inc.php file. If you're locked out, you need to unlock. To do this, use the tool linked above, and turn SSL to off.
Guest gunther3d
AHH!! OK cool! Thanks
Guest gunther3d
Ok I made it back in to my admin panel but I still can't figure out how to set my paths properly. I've tried and locked myself out three or four times now. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? :)
Guest EverythingWeb
Are you trying to enable to shared-SSL certificate, or a dedicated ssl? Or are you under the impression that by enabling ssl it will automatically be protected? Its just I can't see anything in the thread which explains. Guest gunther3d
I talked with my hosting service and they said my settings should be: Root SECURE Public HTML Folder to store: /home/yogiyou/public_html/shop/ Absolute SECURE URL to store: https://www.yogiyou.com Server SECURE Root Directory: /home/yogiyou/public_html/shop/ But obviously that's not working or I would have stopped pulling out the rest of my hair. Any Ideas? Thanks
Guest EverythingWeb
Okay, Browsing the store in https mode appears to work, however the admin is incorrect. This would, after investigating slightly, lead me to believe that, you need to change: Absolute SECURE URL to store TO: https://www.yogiyou.com/store Give that a go, but please remember that I take no responsbility for its outcome, and as such, please remember to Backup and have the config restore tool handy. Thanks.
Guest gunther3d
Awsome!! Thanks heaps!! I thought that was the problem too. I should have gone with my instincts. Cheers:)
Guest gunther3d
Couple Small problems..... SSL seems to be working except now when I click on the hompage link from a secure page I'm taken here: http://www.yogiyou.com/shop/shop/index.php? And if I logout from my admin panel I'm taken here: https://www.yogiyou.com/home/yogiyou/public...dmin/logout.php and I get a 404 from both. I know this has to be something simple like a trailing slash or something but I don't know enough about what's going on to know what to fix. I'm so close I can taste it!! Guest moonsoft
I seem to have found a problem that some people may see..... you can add one of two URLS to SSL cert. the www.domainname.com or the domainname.com without the www..... it's important to make sure that the url indicates the exact type that you used for your SSL cert. -hope this helps
Guest global777
I've gone and "locked" myself out in this exact same manner. But the Tool Link above just links back to this forum's home page. How can I get back in? ;)
Guest global777
This needs to be placed in the ADMIN General Settings, so people won't keep getting locked out. That is, new people, like me, who don't know what to enter on what line: 1. Root SECURE Public HTML Folder to store: (Include Trailing Slash) = /shopping/ 2. Absolute SECURE URL to store: = https://www.onecraftymama.com/shopping ****NOTE**** Do not include trailing slash here! 3. Server SECURE Root Directory: = /home/xxxxx/public_html/shopping ****NOTE**** Do not include trailing slash here! Now I am locked out, and my store is all messed up. I need some assistance with getting back to my admin screen. Thanks!
