Guest rubbergirlz Posted January 4, 2006 Share Posted January 4, 2006 I upgraded from 3.0.7 to the latest with the patch. I am a complete newbie to this whole thing so I need help please. I read another post that had a similar SQL error problem. So I manually changed the global.inc.php file as was suggested. After I did that, I was able to see the webpage with my store (i.e. www.mystore/shopping_cart) However, I am still getting the following error when I try to access the admin area: MySQL Error Occured 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) Please help!
