Robsta
Database name: You need to create a mySQL database where you're hosting your site. To do this use your hosting control panel, or contact your hosting provider. Database username: Database password: You will get these after creating the database or once the provider has create the database for you. It's the username and password used to connect to the database. Database prefix: This can be whatever you want... it's basically a name that is put in front of the table name in the database to help distinguish the tables from other tables you might have in the database for other software. You can leave it blank if you wish.

Robsta
So you have a database name? You now need to create a user for the database. The option for this should be in the same area in which you created the database.

Guest Linux
It's not unfortunately.... trust me, I've looked. What did you use to create the database? The thing that came on my server.. I'm using Yahoo Business and used the MySQL Database in the Control Panel. All it asked for was a user name / password and it said that the Database was created. Yet, I can't even seem to log into anything. I've spent almot 6 hours now I think on this. I've tried every single possible thing I can think of. Is there any other way to do this? If so, you'll find this info under "mySQL databases". Click on this link, and you will be able to create a database and add a user (and password) to that database. Another angle is - does your hosting company have "Fantasico"? This is a web front-end installer for lots of software, including CubeCart. Fantasico will allow you to set-up CC very quickly without messing around with mySQL etc. Who is your hosting company? They should be able to help with creating a database. If you're only testing the water, I can provide an installed CubeCart store in a few mins on my server (or create a free account for you - PM me if you would like this) Regards, Jason
