Search form redirects to non-secure page

Hi all

I've got my shop running with SSL enabled without it prompting any 'This page contains non-secure elements' messages which is nice, but if someone uses the search form from any of the secure (https) pages like the shopping cart, it spits out the search result on an unencrypted (http) page, prompting the message 'You are about to be redirected to a connection that is not secure... Do you want to continue? Yes/No'.

Is there anything I can do to make the search page keep its secure status? Is it because the search string is submitted via GET?

Its a minor problem but its the small things that can put people off buying sometimes
