Is there a way of checking to see if my customers prefer text or HTML emails?

Haven't had much luck with the email program sending out my emails so thought I would send them all out with outlook, however not sure if there is a way to tell what customers prefer?

Using CC 3.0.10

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

No real way, apart from asking them..

CC is aware of the customer preferences, so should manage it for you.

What was the problem with using CC for mailing? If you couldn't send emails from CC, its probably a simple admin change.

If you really need to use OutLook, you should be able to export the customer data using myPHP Admin - which will be a bit of a pain, but should work ok.

I wonder if Joe Public actually know the difference?

It's like shampoo adverts:

"Contains nutrahydra 56 X" - OOOOH! WOW! Like people know exactly what all that stuff really is.

More like "If it's got some fancy name stuff then it's probably good".

Think it is more me than the program.

Seems like everything I copy and paste into the editor goes all wierd, than when go to straighten it out and think it is ok, when sending to myself all screwed up again, plus get both html and a text email. (double emails). ;)

Any suggestions on this?
