"empty cart" sometimes does not happen when it should

Aikdo's "Paypal-IPN fix" also fixed problem of canceled payments diverting to PayPal site, instead of back to my store. Thanks Aikdo.

And I have had the not-valid "empty cart" at 4th stage of checkout.

Now not happening.

But there are times when cart should auto-empty and it does not.

I can go thru a full PayPal process, and find cart has not emptied. If I try to checkout again, PP says that invoice already paid -- KLUTZY and bad impression to shopper.

If I use the Printable Order Form, and cancel, View Cart correctly shows empty.

Why the difference? How can auto-empty be assured after paid purchase?

Also, what string should I search for putting an "empty cart" button under "Shopping Basket"? I think I read of a solution somewhere.
