Guest peanutp Posted October 17, 2006 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Hello - Since using the google analytics service on my site I have noticed the time to load the site index and pages is sometimes slow. The javascript code I used from google was inserted just before the </body> tag, so in my mind the code should not have executed until my page had finished. The only thing I can think of is that I was using the https link for google, as I used to get the annoying, "some items are insecure" etc..... message. I know https takes longer to load, so perhaps this is causing the issue?? Has anyone experienced this with google and cubecart before???? I really want to keep this service, as the stats they provide are useful and easier to translate than my server hosting companies logs. I am pretty sure it is the analytics service causing the problem; as soon as I removed the code from the index and cart global templates, all was well again and the response times seem much quicker.
