Guest mutsu
hi, wondering what ur cubecart database size is in megbytes and number of items for ur store? i know it depends on the number of items for ur store. i just want to get an idea for deciding a host. some host show between 3-50 databases for mysql but does not say storage size and one shows 150mb for mysql database. i just wanted to get the host that provides enough database storage for a basic store. thanks, mutsu
markscarts
Well, best to have a host that allows multiple, better even, unlimited number of mysql db In that case, they generally will not restrict the mySQL db size - your total storage size for the web account will apply regardless of how many db or how large they are, they will be counted against the total. Opinions will differ; I like a host that allows multiple mySQL db - and as large an amount of server storage as I can afford. If you like running one store, you may wish to create others As to size of store files + db, depends on many factors including images, custom skins, mods added to store and number of products. roban
The largest I ever worked on was in the 20 MB range.
Guest mutsu
The largest I ever worked on was in the 20 MB range. hi, roban, so what was the range in # of items for 20mb sql size for the cubecart database structure? markcart, yeah there are outragous plans out there for just a few dollars extra but it's pretty much useless for me if i were to only use fractions of what i pay for especially for a beginner like me. i would prefer to upgrade as i go since it's unpredictable to determine the success for online store. i guess 150mb would be sufficent for a newbie online store. thanks mutsu
