Featured Product & Scrolling Products From SubCat Or Main Cat Your

Is there a way to display a featured product from the catagory your customer is in instead of a random product? and could a similair thing be done with the scrolling products box displaying products from that catagory ?

I believe it actually displays a random product from the category the visitor is in, with the exception of the homepage.

Scrolling products box? Do you mean popular products box?

There is no "scrolling product box" in cubecart, perhaps you have modded the popular products box, as Roban suggests? Popular Products is a list of the products whose pages have had the most views by visitors to your site. You could make a mod to replace this with something else, but the stock code will simply show the products that have been the "most popular" in that people click to those product pages most often.

This is different from "best selling"

CubeCart is fairly easily modded if you learn some php and sql queries, and know a little web design. You could get rid of popular products and show the best sellers instead, or something else - it seems you want to show something else.
