PayPal transaction problems- cURL Handle Resource?

Hey- I am super confused- because this is not my area. I switched from Authorize.net to PayPal and all seemed to go fine. People's transactions are going through & being approved- but everyone keeps receiving the following error message after their purchase:

No idea what this means. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I haven't seen exactly this problem, although mine crops up in the same place, related to curl_setopt.

The "real" problem is coming from someplace earlier in the code, probably where ever the "cURL handle resource" is supposed to be created.

Which version of CubeCart are you using?

I am using Cube Cart 3.0.12. And ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

I fixed one line that I know was wrong. Now it continuely gives this error message every time an order is placed:

"Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set in /home/vjquyszc/public_html/shop/pear/Services/PayPal/SOAP/Transport/HTTP.php on line 577
