Moving store to another server and new domain

Hi,

as this is a cPanel system, its fairly easy.

You can either ask your new host to copy the account (you'll supply them with the account details on your old server) - its fairly quick..

The other way is to generate home directory backup, and then a mysql database backup.

Download these - double-check they look ok (the database back-up will contain lots of SQL statements, you can open it in notepad)

On your new host, providing it is also cPanel based, you should be able to restore from these back-ups.

View the cPanel video tutorial.

I also assume you'll have some kind of overlap, ie won't halt the old account immediently.
