Currency Exchange Rates

Recommended Posts

Hi Experts,

I am still using version 3.0.8 on one of my shops, and accept 3 currencies. The default currency is sterling but I also accept US dollars and the euro.

Can someone please advise me how to keep the exchange rates up to date?

Thanks,

Tom.

You can simply update once a month (or if there is any significant change) and adjust the exchange rates from online information (www.xe.com ?).

There is also an excellent currency update mod on www.cubecartforums.org

The commercial one can be set to auto-update, the free one requires you to click a button to update.

I hope this helps,

Jason

Hi Jason,

I have installed the currency mod you mentioned from www.cubecartforums.org.

When I click on the Update Xchange rates button I get an HTTP 404 page not found error and in my address bar is the following url: http://www.mysite.com/cart/admin/settings/...DateXchange.php, however if I remove /admin/settings from the link then it appears to work.

Have you any idea what I have done wrong?

Tom.

I installed the mod yesterday and it worked fine.

Did you drop (from ZIP file) the folder *UpDateXchange* in admin folder? http://www.domain.com/STORE/admin/UpDateXchange

I unzipped the file on my computer, created a folder on my server admin/UpDateXchange, modified UpDateXchange.php as instructed and ftp'd it to the relevant folder. I also added the extra code to admin/includes/navigation.inc.php, and the result is as I described in my last posting.

Thanks

Tom.
