Guest Posted November 22, 2007 Share Posted November 22, 2007 Hi, I'm trying to assess the suitability of Cube Cart (v3 or v4) for a new project which deviates slightly from the standard shop and was wondering whether anyone has done anything similiar or could offer any advice... The website I am building will sell items through a CubeCart shop it also needs to provide a way of allowing users to purchase 'tokens' - these tokens are then to be used in a different section of the website where users can place ads. The idea is that a user will pay 5GBP for 10 tokens in the shop, and then each ad they place will cost 1 token. Basically, I need to tie the two parts together somehow. My original idea was to sell the 'tokens' in the shop and then read from the CubeCart database to confirm purchases (using the CubeCart login details as the key). However, I've just noticed the voucher/coupon feature in v4 - would this allow me to do this more easily? Any comments would be a huge help! Thanks.
