Product stock level not updating

Just recently my cart has stopped reducing the stock levels on products when the order goes from pending to processing, this is really annoying as i have to keep going in and manually reducing stock levels.

Anyone got any ideas what might be wrong?

Have you double checked your General Settings, Stock Settings - "When to decrease stock level?" field and other related settings there?

Yes all the settings are correct, it is only happening with some products, and yes I have made sure that the 'use stock level' button is lit on each product. Anyone got any ideas??
