Digital Products "Processing" After Payment Received

Right now when customers send payment for a digital product through my store, they receive an email with the download link, but the order is labeled as "Processing", when really, it should be complete. I have to manually go in and mark the order complete - which means the customer gets another email when they could really care less.

Why does this happen, and how can I mark digital orders as complete as soon as payment is received?
