Okie Dokie, so I am hosting clients websites myself and convinced a client to switch from one cart to cubecart whilst switch to my hosting services. She wants to work on her cubecart store on the side and THEN when all products are entered and everything is working, she will then switch the nameservers. So the question is....how to I access admin properly becuase I cannot get it to work with my nameserver IP assigned to my reseller account. I type http://74.54.175.172/~username/admin/login.php and lo and behold the admin screen comes up BUT when i enter the login...I get a 404 error saying :

The server can not find the requested page:

74.54.175.172/admin/login.php?goto= (port 80)

It removes her username. So can this be done or not? Am I just going about it the wrong way?

How did you put the store url in the config file? You would have to be sure you have the path correctly there as well and then switch it to her domain name when she is ready.

hmmm, good point...I guess that would work! Alright im excited! I'm running over to her cpanel to give it a shot :yeahhh:

Ok...I the store is is the root. So Ichanged the http://www.clientsite.com to http://67.18.26.47/~username (putting herusername in) and it still takes me to my own install of cubecart in MY root store..becuase I am the webhost....

Should I move my store install to a sub-directory? Is this the issue maybe? If Iput my store in a folder say called /store then maybe my clients can log in to their own temp url store admins?
