Stuck at step 3

I'm installing CubeCart 4 for the first time but I can't get passed step 3. After I fill-in all the mySQL database details and click to advance to the next step I get this error:

By reading the other posts I understand I'm either entering some details wrong or I don't have all the privileges enabled. I tried multiple times, double and triple checking that everything is as it should be. Still no progress. Could this have something to do with the host? their mysql version is 5.0.51 so it should be ok.

Please, any suggestions are welcome.
