under the product option, create an option the type selection there are 3 choices either default, textbox or textarea if you asign either text box or area to a option it does not allow you to Assign option & value to product what I'm I doing wrong?

Not a thing wrong

you need to make any textbox or textarea a default option first

and assign a value to it

say like for Gift Message (option) Gift Message (value)

then assign it to the product

THEN go back and re edit the option to a text box or text area

kinda silly I know but it does work that way and hopefully this will addressed in the later versions
