Guest
Hi, For weeks now I'm working on a fully customized CC4 shop. Now it's almost finished and the client asked me if every customer has his own unique client ID. Of course I said yeas but..... I could not find any unique client ID for every new client. Please tell me this is a joke or something or that I miss something Where can I find the client Id on the invoice and in the admin? Please...help needed! Ausy
I never say yes without checking first, it gets you in a pickle. There is no customer ID listed in Admin, it is in the MySQL database itself. Can I ask why its needed?
Guest
HI Ausy, Thank you for responding. It is mandatory/highly advised in our country (Netherlands) to have a Customers-ID and order-ID on every invoice otherwise accountants cannot do their job properly. Besides that it's very handy for your own administration to have each customer linked to their own unique ID. In other words; when you don't have any unique ID for every customer here your invoices are worthless for lots of accountants. I just got an advice that I had to implement <?php echo $result[0]['customer_id']; ?> into the admin/sources/orders/print.inc.php. I hope that helps. Besides that It would be great if there was any type of small hack to see the ID's too in the client overview in the admin. I put the topic on this forum and the mod forum. Because on this forum I hope that the CC staff will read it and may be they are planning it to implement it in their next versions. In the other forum so willing people can help me (and others) out. Thank you again for taking your time to respond. Best regards, Boudi
