Guest Posted February 24, 2009 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Our Cubecart seems to be processing an inconsistent number of orders. For instance on Feb. 23rd 2 orders were placed......they show up as orders on the cpanel..... but 1 has a status of uncleared. We have Linkpoint Gateway connected and verified it is working fine with them. Linkpoint Tech Support showed only 1 order from the 23rd as being received for processing. What happened to the other order??? It has done this several other times within the same month.... but not ever time. some orders process.....some don't. kinetic Posted February 25, 2009 Share Posted February 25, 2009 simple answer... sompe people dont ever intend to actually complete their order by going thru the gateway and they abandon their cart before going to linkpoint As to why Cubecart creates an order before they go thru the gateway the answer is: Cubecart has to have the order in the DB for it to be able to update it with the response from the gateway and set it to processing or if denied or abandoned remain at pending Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I read the explanation of what the status of an order is......... and am unclear as to what this status means. We do not except checks so this explanation seems to not apply to our situation. If we could determine that uncleared means a dead order......we could not worry that a customer is waiting for something that is not going to happen. If we could determine that uncleared means a dead order......we could not worry that a customer is waiting for something that is not going to happen. If they didn't pay for it, it's not an order. You could always email them and see if there was a problem, but probably they will tell you (if they answer) that they changed their minds.
